The program of the R'07 World Congress on  Recovery of Materials and
Energy 
is now available:

For the first time this congress has a strong emphasis on electronic
waste and
scarce resources used for electronics production. 

For Tuesday, September 4, 2007, we have scheduled:

Session D4: Electrical/Electronic Waste and Producer Responsibility
Session D5: Electrical/Electronic Waste Recycling
Half-day Workshop: Electrical/Electronic Waste Recycling

There are related sessions on Battery Recycling, IT Energy Use and on 
Metal Recovery, Workshops on the Ecological Footprint of Electronics
and
on Emerging Technologies and Scarce Metals.

Tomas E. Graedel (Yale University) will give a plenary lecture.

R'07 will take place at Davos Congress Center, the venue of the
World Economic Forum and is organized by Empa, the Swiss Materials
Science
Institute, and the Swiss Academy of Engineering Sciences (SATW).
