Dear list members.

Yes, it's that time of year again, abstracts are due for next year's
IEEE International Symposium on Electronics & the Environment. Next
year's event will be held 7-10 May, 2007 in Orlando, Florida. The
program will feature the latest in environmental design, manufacturing,
new technologies, recycling, and policy from world leaders in industry,
academia, consulting, recyclers and public policy areas. This year's
focus area will be Design for Sustainability including coverage of
emerging technologies and their impact on energy, materials, and systems
across the life cycle. Of particular interest are non-traditional
technologies being considered in emerging products (including fuel cells
and nanomaterials) and future trends in end-of-life management for both
new processes and new products.

Abstracts are due October 24, 2006. The call for papers can be found at
the event's URL http://www.regconnect.com/content/isee/

I'd also like to take this chance to mention to members that I started a
new faculty position at Arizona State University a couple of months ago.
It is a joint appointment between the department of Civil and
Environmental Engineering and the Global Institute of Sustainability. So
far so good. If you get a chance to visit Arizona, please drop by!

Best regards, Eric
